The Assistant General Counsel – Telecoms and Renewables (EU), based in Madrid, will play a critical role in:
Managing the acquisition of telecom infrastructure assets, including cell towers, across EU markets. The role requires an experienced legal professional with a proven ability to accelerate transactions to closing, facilitate deals with developers, and exercise sound judgment in assessing, underwriting, and managing portfolio risk. Provide general support to the Regional General Counsel – Europe
Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel to manage transactions from initiation to closing




Perform legal and property due diligence (leases, title review)
Provide basic advice on property taxes
Lead weekly legal coordination meetings
Manage a pipeline of lease acquisitions across the EU and coordinate closing support across finance, legal, origination, and leadership teams
Oversee lease acquisitions handled by internal legal teams and prepare underwriting analysis for senior management
Assist EU and integral leadership in developing innovative ground lease-based products
Support entry into new markets, including entity setup, compliance, KYC processes, and structuring transactions aligned with risk and underwriting criteria
Provide legal advice on commercial and corporate matters
Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in a law firm and/or renewable energy developer environment
Proficiency with Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Salesforce
