Experteer Overview As Director, Senior Corporate Counsel for the Spanish affiliate, you will serve as the primary legal advisor during launch and commercialization. You will partner with Spanish and European leadership to manage commercial operations, market access, pricing, procurement, competition and healthcare compliance, contracting, litigation, and stakeholder engagement. You will shape the legal strategy for Spain and help build a high-performing commercial team in a fast-paced launch. This is a cross-functional, cross-border role with significant business impact and regulatory exposure.Compensaciones / Beneficios
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to the General Manager, Spain and local Leadership Team
- Provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice to support commercial decision-making and business strategy
- Participate as a trusted member of the Spanish leadership team, proactively identifying legal risks and opportunities
- Support the successful launch and ongoing commercialization of the Company's oncology portfolio in Spain
- Advise on commercial operations in Spain across Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Finance
- Provide legal support for promotional activities, field-based engagements, digital initiatives, early access and patient support programs
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with consultants, vendors, service providers and strategic partners
- Support third-party due diligence, collaboration governance and ongoing business partner relationship management
- Lead legal support for pricing, reimbursement, public procurement, tenders, healthcare contracting and market access initiatives in Spain
- Draft and negotiate market access agreements, managed entry arrangements, risk-sharing schemes and related healthcare agreements
- Partner with Market Access and Government Affairs to assess legal impact of evolving pricing, reimbursement,
HTA and public procurement requirements
- Advise on Spanish and European competition law issues affecting pharmaceutical commercialization
- Counsel teams on healthcare professional engagements, transfers of value, sponsorships, grants and interactions with healthcare organizations
- Coordinate with Compliance to support adherence to industry codes and internal policies
- Manage actual and threatened litigation involving the Spanish entities
- Coordinate with external counsel on commercial disputes, regulatory matters, employment-related legal issues, product-related claims
- Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with senior management
- Advise on Spanish legal requirements impacting commercial operations and new legislation
- Provide legal guidance on consumer protection, unfair competition, advertising, procurement and commercial regulations
- Coordinate with external counsel on complex local law matters
- Partner with General Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and HR
- Support audits, compliance initiatives and implementation of legal policies and templates across Europe
- Develop and deliver legal training to the Spanish affiliate
- Select, instruct and manage Spanish external counsel
- Oversee litigation budgets and legal spendResponsabilidades
- Law degree and admission to practice in Spain or another European jurisdiction
- 10+ years of legal experience in life sciences (in-house or law firm)
- Strong knowledge of Spanish pharmaceutical law, commercial law, competition law, healthcare compliance, promotional regulations, public procurement and tendering
- Experience advising on market access, reimbursement or healthcare contracting
- Ability to advise senior leaders in a highly regulated environment
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to travel ~10–20% within Spain and internationallyRequisitos principales
