Job Description:
An opportunity for a Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The jobholder will join the Engineering Department TADMO6 (Tanker and L&M; A/C Mission Support Systems solutions).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out all system engineering tasks throughout the life cycle of our development projects, which includes system concept definition, system design, requirements engineering, system test & qualification.
- Be responsible for the scope and quality of the assigned tasks considering all aspects like feasibility, reusability, system optimization, maintainability, safety, technical performance, interface design, risks and opportunities.
- Take part in test definition and execution.
- Ensure transfer of contracted capabilities and customer requirements into system and product requirements, focusing on customer satisfaction and full compliance with rules and regulations.
- Support to and participate in Customer meetings and workshops.
- Provide In Service Support to our systems deployed in military bases,
answering technical queries and planning updates.
SKILLS

- Education: University degree in a technical domain, e.g., aeronautics, computer science, telecommunications engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in system or software development, with deep knowledge of methods and tools (e.g. DOORS).
- Experience in working with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo) and DOORS preferable.
- Mission planning systems, mission systems experience is an advantage.
- Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken).
- Soft skills: Team player, good communication skills and proactive mindset.
