In this Commissioning Engineer role, you’ll work for a general business that designs and builds advanced automated systems to help customers manage their logistics and supply chains. The company is well‑established internationally, and you’ll have the chance to work on software systems that connect with cutting‑edge machinery on projects around the world.

Software Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities

Write and configure software programs to control automated machinery, tailored to each customer’s requirements




Travel internationally (50–60% of the time) to customer sites to carry out installation and commissioning
Lead on‑site testing, integration, and configuration, working alongside various technical specialists
Collaborate with internal teams throughout the project to ensure successful delivery
Hand over completed projects to the relevant departments once commissioning is complete
Knowledge of object‑orientated programming (C++, C# or Java)
Relational database knowledge in SQL or Oracle and Linux
Ability to work in collaboration with internal and external project teams
Ability to speak English with technical conversations as a minimum, being able to speak German is advantageous
