The Purchasing Specialist/Buyer role within the general procurement hub team of Straumann Group, based in Madrid, is pivotal in supporting and executing operational and tactical procurement activities. This role carries significant responsibility for ensuring the quality, cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, service standards, and regulatory compliance of purchased and outsourced materials, goods, and services.



The Purchasing Specialist/Buyer plays a vital role in supporting multiple Straumann Group entities and corporate functions across Europe, including the global headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Purchase materials, goods, and services for Straumann Group entities and Corporate Functions. Execute operational and tactical procurement activities in accordance with the global category strategy, and in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulatory standards, applicable laws, ethical standards, and code of business conduct.
- Increase procurement managed spend and drive savings delivery across the group by implementing cost-effective procurement practices and negotiating favourable terms with suppliers in accordance with the global category strategy.
- Ensure efficient and proper execution of Requests for Quotation or Request for Proposals for non-critical, lower value items (Tail spend).
