Description AWS Infrastructure Services seeks an experienced Director to lead the Spain Data Center Operations. Based in Zaragoza, this role will oversee critical infrastructure that powers AWS services. AWS Infrastructure Services builds and operates the global infrastructure that powers all AWS services. Our team designs, builds, and operates data centers worldwide that deliver AWS cloud services to millions of active customers in 190+ countries. We drive innovation in areas including power and cooling systems, network connectivity, security systems, and sustainable operations.
Drive safety culture and security initiatives across all regional data center facilities
Develop and implement operational strategies that align with AWS's global standards while addressing regional requirements
Oversee capacity planning, delivery, and growth strategies to meet customer demand
Direct engineering operations across multiple infrastructure types (Colocation, Hybrid, Build-to-Suit)
Manage complex multi-stakeholder coordination requirements with internal teams, vendors, and local authorities




Implement sustainability programs and ensure environmental compliance across all facilities
Oversee regional financial performance, budget planning, and cost optimization initiatives
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including business partners, vendors, and local authorities
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
~5+ years of experience in data center operations, infrastructure management, or related technical field
~Experience with capacity planning and infrastructure growth management
~ Strong financial acumen with budget responsibility
~ Experience working with cross-functional teams in a integral organization
