We are looking for an ambitious and highly capable Senior Civil Engineer to work in the exciting and dynamic design team at Bryden Wood. As part of the civil engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a cutting-edge and dynamic design environment, collaborating with – and learning from – the multiple disciplines across the company.
The adecuado candidate would be a good ‘all-rounder’ with a strong civil underground engineering background, and also interest in emerging technologies including BIM. The candidate would take ownership of the designs on projects and support the civil team designing civils systems.
Technical and Leadership skill s:



Strong level of civil design capability including: interpreting existing site conditions levels, underground drainage, utilities, pavements and roads, flooding, and earthworks.
Strong understanding of stormwater / drainage hydraulics and flow behaviour is required.
The successful candidate will need to be able carry out most of this design autonomously for medium building sites and work under supervision for larger projects.
Confident engaging with clients, contractors, other designers, and other stakeholders.
Maintain strong working relationships to support successful project delivery with a respectful approach.
Ability to set project plans, monitor delivery, and execute successfully (including managing scope, programme, resources, capabilities, and delivery risks). A good understanding of BIM requirements.
