Software Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities




- Write and configure software programs to control automated machinery, tailored to each customer’s requirements
- Travel internationally (50–60% of the time) to customer sites to carry out installation and commissioning
- Lead on‑site testing, integration, and configuration, working alongside various technical specialists
- Train customer staff and provide support ahead of system go‑live
- Act as a key point of contact for customers on‑site, delivering clear communication and good service
- Collaborate with internal teams throughout the project to ensure successful delivery
- Hand over completed projects to the relevant departments once commissioning is complete

Experience & requirements for the role
- Knowledge of object‑orientated programming (C++, C# or Java)
- Relational database knowledge in SQL or Oracle and Linux
- Ability to work in collaboration with internal and external project teams
- Ability to speak English with technical conversations as a min
