The Team

The Billing team is critical to Celonis's growth. We act as business partners, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of global deals to meet deadlines and optimize cash flow. The Billing Specialist will report to the Billing Team Lead.

The Role

As a Billing Specialist, you will manage the team's mailbox, process purchase orders, handle customer onboarding requests, upload portal invoices, and invoice for both professional services and SaaS. You will collaborate with various departments such as Collection, Finance Operations, and Deal Desk to achieve shared objectives. The role requires good independent judgment to evaluate and resolve unique situations effectively.

Responsibilities
- Onboard clients into the billing system.
- Upload invoices to portals.
- Support daily team communications as requests for action are received in the team inbox.
- Process financial documents, invoices, and purchase orders.




- Responsible for accurate and timely invoicing and related administrative tasks.
- Generate invoices for both professional services and SaaS offerings.
- Actively collaborate with Collection, Finance Operations, and Deal Desk teams to ensure smooth processes and achieve common goals.

Qualifications
- A BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, and/or Linguistics.
- First experience in a billing, AR or similar role within finance.
- Business fluency in English as a Must‑have.
- Strong communication skills to deal with different internal stakeholders and in multinational teams.
- Very comfortable with numbers.
- Target driven, quick learner and team player.
- An independent and entrepreneurial way of working.
- Located in Madrid to work one‑site from the Celonis Madrid office.
