Associate Legal Counsel - Commercial

Ebury Madrid Office - 4 days a week in the office, 1 day working from home

The Legal Department at Ebury is core to the functioning of the Ebury Group. It provides front-line advice to all parts of the Ebury Group on legal, regulatory and governance matters which contribute to Ebury’s growth every day.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven commercial lawyer who is keen to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and growing company which is focused on building the Ebury’s brand. The successful candidate will provide high quality legal advice to key stakeholders in Spain and overseas and be pivotal to Ebury’s development on a integral scale.

Key responsibilities include:




- drafting and negotiating agreements required to support Ebury’s business and operational activity with third parties and on an intragroup basis;
- contributing to the design and implementation of new products and expansion into new markets;
- structuring and executing strategic initiatives such as refinancings, negotiations with banking partners, fundraising, M&A; activity and transfers of significant equity stakes in Ebury Group companies;
- advising on corporate structuring matters, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Legal to maintain and develop Ebury’s corporate structure given its global footprint in an efficient manner, having regarding to regulatory, tax and other relevant matters;
- supporting the Front Office, Risk Department, HR Department and others in efficiently resolving disputes;
- working with HR, Operations and other departments to resolve day-to-day queries;
- representing Ebury in interaction with clients, counterparties, banking partners
