About the role
The Public Affairs Manager, Spain, reporting to the Associate Director, Public Affairs Europe, plays a critical role in shaping Boston Scientific’s external positioning and advancing its policy and advocacy agenda within the Spanish health care landscape. This position contributes to creating a favorable policy and regulatory environment that expands patient access to Boston Scientific therapies and innovations.
The Public Affairs Manager is responsible for developing and implementing public affairs strategies, monitoring and assessing policy developments, anticipating potential impacts and translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations that support business objectives. The role requires a proactive and strategic professional with a strong understanding of the Spanish health care system, health policy and related public policy areas.
The selected candidate will lead engagement with policymakers, health care authorities,



industry associations, patient organizations and other external stakeholders to help shape a favorable environment for medical innovation in Spain. The role also partners closely with internal stakeholders to advance policy engagement across market access, regulatory, digital and environmental policy priorities while ensuring Boston Scientific’s perspectives are effectively represented.
The role is based in our offices in Madrid, Spain, on a hybrid working schedule (3 days/week in the office + 2 days/week working from home), with frequent travel within Spain and occasional travelling activities within Europe.
