My client is a stealth early-stage travel platform connecting travelers with local tour guides, currently in the final stretch before launch. You'd be joining before the product goes live, helping build the network it launches with.

The founding team is small and hands-on. The focus is building real relationships with local tourist guides who will define what this platform feels like on day one.

This is a freelance contract to start with. It could become a full time permanent role if the initial freelance mission is successful.

Responsibilities

You'll own the local guide community in your region end to end — not a call-center version of it. This is a relationship role first, an operations role second.
- Build and grow a network of roughly 40–50 local tour guides in your region, from outreach through onboarding.
- Screen and select guides who fit the platform's quality bar — not just availability, but genuine hosting ability and passion for their region.
- Build ongoing relationships with guides: check in regularly, understand their challenges, and be a real point of contact,



not a dashboard.
- Monitor and help raise the quality of the experiences guides offer — coach and encourage them to develop richer, more distinctive tours.
- Build local bridges into adjacent communities — for example, students at tourism schools who could become guides or ambassadors themselves.
- Represent the platform's culture locally: warm, honest, non-corporate, early-stage.
