Job Description:
A vacancy for a Space Systems Electrical Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Madrid (Getafe). The successful applicants will join the Electrical Systems Spain Department (TSEOE7).
The Electrical Engineer will contribute to developing electrical and electronic systems and sub-systems for satellite platforms and payloads, and for applications including Telecommunications (including Active Antennas), Earth Observation, Science and Navigation. He/she will work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team and will contribute to the on-cost, on-time and on-quality product delivery to customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Under the coordination of the System Electrical Architect, manage all technical aspects related to (at least) one of the following areas:
o Active antennas data handling sub-systems (DHS) and equipment
o On-board data handling sub-systems (DHS) and equipment
• Elaborate and maintain technical requirement specifications for on-board sub-systems, equipment or boards (mainly on digital equipment).
• When needed, review supplier's HardWare designs (mainly digital electronics) as well as FPGA designs and documentation.
• Support SW engineering in the definition of the data busses protocols applicable to units (contribute wrt. HW resources and performance) as well as in the definition of the processor load and memory occupation budgets (contribute wrt. HW resources and performance)
• When needed, design of specific electrical circuits (mainly digital) including their respective schematics and analysis (e.g. WCA, PSA) and review PCB design.
• Define system verification and validation strategy, prepare system/equipment/board test specifications and maintain the verification control documentation.
• Manage the detailed electrical aspects, such as electrical interfaces, TM/TC interfaces, data links and protocols, harness, power budget, EMC aspects, etc.
