As an EPMS Controls Design Engineer within AWS Data Center Global Services, you will define and refine EPMS/BMS standards for global data centers. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient electrical power monitoring and automation. You’ll translate complex electrical concepts into design specifications and drive collaboration across construction, MEP engineers, and vendors. This role offers the chance to influence global standards and reduce project risk while supporting AWS scale and reliability.

• Know EPMS design and programming; understand Modbus and electrical distribution concepts
• Review electrical drawings with EPMS focus and extract design content
• Create SOWs, support RFIs, and review vendor proposals during bids
• Coordinate with regional project managers to finalize project scopes
• Review Long Lead Equipment submittals to ensure EPMS coverage
• Attend Factory Witness Tests and Equipment Qualification Tests for EPMS validation
• Create/update maintenance of controls points lists, EPMS templates, BOD, and SOWs
• Develop specification documents for integral projects and disseminate standards
• Lead cross-team collaboration (construction, programmers, MEP/ACS engineers) to meet goals
• Manage RFIs and requests for information for new builds, existing facilities, and enhancements
• Serve as central point of contact for internal/external groups on EPMS design standards
• Operate effectively in high-security environments while maximizing productivity
• Drive innovative solutions to support team and company goals
• Interact with AWS cloud services to present, archive, and analyze data
• Anticipate roadblocks and provide escalation management
• Travel globally as needed to support xqbhyrx projects
