What You'll Do
- Perform structural, thermal, and thermo mechanical analyses of turbojet engine components using analytical methods and Finite Element Analysis.
- Assess centrifugal, thermal, vibratory, and combined loading on rotating and stationary engine hardware.
- Evaluate the mechanical integrity and durability of compressor and turbine wheels, shafts, blisks, casings, bearing supports, combustor structures, and exhaust components.
- Predict thermal growth and hot to cold geometry changes to optimize running clearances and engine performance.
- Perform fatigue, creep, thermo mechanical fatigue, and durability assessments for high temperature engine components.
