Amentum is seeking a Plumber to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Plumber is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, with a focus on wastewater facilities and submersible sewage or wastewater pump systems.

Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining wastewater facilities and related plumbing systems to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Performing inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on submersible sewage or wastewater pumps.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining water, gas, and sewage systems in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Reading blueprints, layouts, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and repair of plumbing systems.
- Identifying and addressing plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and pump malfunctions.
- Documenting inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.




- Coordinating with supervisors and other team members to achieve operational goals and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Adhering to established safety protocols and plumbing codes when carrying out assignments.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

Required Qualifications:
- At least three (3) years of work experience in the maintenance and repair of submersible sewage or wastewater pumps.
- Journeyman-level plumbing certification
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater facilities.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, wastewater operations, and applicable codes and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- Passport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
