Role Overview

The Head of Academics will directly manage AESA's faculty across both in-person and online teaching responsibilities. This person will lead faculty meetings and check‑ins, support teaching quality, strengthen professional expectations, ensure consistency in academic practices, and help faculty deliver strong outcomes for students in both AESA Prep Academy of Barcelona and AESA Prep International. The Head of Academics will work closely with the Director and the Student Support Department, while also collaborating periodically with Admissions, Operations, and Administration when academic leadership is needed. This role is idóneo for an experienced educator or academic leader with proven management experience, strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead adults with both support and accountability.

- Support accreditation‑related academic processes, documentation, observations, surveys, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor student academic progress in collaboration with teachers and Student Support.
- Strengthen systems for attendance, tardiness, missing work, pacing, academic risk, and intervention.
- Support consistent implementation of school policies, including academic integrity, AI use, device expectations, classroom expectations, and online learning standards.
- Help ensure that online learners receive the same seriousness, attention, and academic quality as in‑person students.
