What you will do
As programs officer, you will support prisoner programs that help people build skills and prepare for life after prison.
You will work with a friendly team, support daily program delivery and help keep important services running well.
You will:
- deliver prisoner programs and support services, including intake and orientation
- assist prisoners to access programs, activities and welfare support
- complete administration, maintain records and manage program information
- support staff with prisoner referrals, welfare requests and daily program activities
- work with multidisciplinary teams to encourage program participation and support successful community transition.

About you




You should have experience or an understanding of working in a correctional environment. Experience in welfare, employment or housing is an advantage. A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is desirable but not essential.
You should also have:
- experience using digital tools such as Microsoft 365 applications
- strong communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly
- flexibility and a respectful approach when working with people from diverse backgrounds
- sound problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
