Reporting to: Accounting, Administration & Audit Manager
Based in: Madrid
The selected professional will lead all accounting and administration activities across X-ELIO’s Spanish entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong business partnering in a fast-growing renewable energy environment.
What will you do?
- Lead accounting and administrative operations for Spain, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to deadlines.
- Oversee preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS,
Spanish GAAP (PGC), and internal policies.
- Coordinate external audits, tax processes, and relationships with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of four accounting professionals providing mentoring, training, and establish performance goals to drive the team’s success.
- Drive process optimization, automation, and digitalization initiatives, leveraging SAP S/4HANA and AI-based tools.
- Partner with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Development, and Construction teams on complex transactions, project accounting, M&A;, and financing activities.
What do we need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- +5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within multinational environments.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Spanish GAAP (PGC); experience in renewable energy or project‑based industries is a plus.
