As a Clinical Programmer - Expert at Novartis, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Risk-Based Quality Management (RbQM) and our Central Monitoring platform. You will be responsible for data-driven clinical operations through advanced analytics, intelligent reporting, and scalable technology solutions. Working alongside cross-functional experts, you will help shape the future of clinical data operations by delivering meaningful insights, driving operational excellence, and enabling smarter decisions across general clinical studies.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Configure Central Monitoring Platform outputs using SAS programming and clinical data standards
- Develop analytics dashboards, reports, data pipelines,
and monitoring outputs for clinical operations
- Translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions that improve user experience
- Extract, clean, merge, subset, and derive clinical and operational datasets
- Partner with study teams, statisticians, and Central Monitoring colleagues to clarify output requirements
- Execute quality checks and validation routines to ensure complete, accurate monitoring data
- Support existing dashboards, reports, and pipelines through scheduled refreshes and performance monitoring
- Coach associate programmers, share technical knowledge, and contribute to reusable programming standards
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
