Job Description:
An opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering (ME) AIT Team Leader has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Barajas (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Spacecraft Production & AIT Spain Plant department. In this role, you will lead the Manufacturing Engineering team, coordinating all engineering activities and deliverables to the Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) area (TSMSC). You will work in a co-engineering mode with Space Systems Design and Engineering Offices in Spain to deliver high-accuracy Industrial Plans for Earth Observation, Space Exploration (EOS), and Telecom & Navigation Systems (TNS) programs, operating under strict clean-room protocols and handling sensitive, low-tolerance spacecraft technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
Lead, develop, and engage the Manufacturing Engineering production team to meet demanding schedule, quality, cost, and safety requirements under the local labor legal context.
Deliver complete Manufacturing Dossiers (including standard planning, MBOM, Assembly procedures/SOIs,



Standard Allocated Times, and industrial means specifications) for every new program within the AIT scope, fully utilizing the DDMS toolset.
Provide feasible Industrial Plans and accurate ME Non-Recurrent and Recurrent (NRC/RC) cost estimations to support bidding activities and cost brochures for EOS and TNS offers.
Manage key internal stakeholders within the EOS and TNS environments, coordinating closely with Program Business Lines, AIT, Environmental Testing, Electrical/Functional, RF, and Mechanical & Thermal Engineering Leads.
Maintain strict adherence to cost targets and Estimate at Completion (EAC) budgets in coordination with Program Managers, under the supervision of Space Systems Spain Finance controllers.
