Applicants for this position should demonstrate a strong research record in core areas of sustainable and emerging computing, including: energy-efficient machine learning, carbon-aware scheduling, energy-aware resource allocation, sustainable cloud computing, energy-efficient distributed systems, compiler and runtime optimization, hardware–software co-design, approximate computing, low-power computing, workload optimization, or lifecycle assessment of computing systems.
These fundamental methods should be demonstrated through applications in domains such as: high-performance computing, cloud and edge computing, sustainable data centers, AI model training and inference, the Internet of Things (IoT),



mobile and embedded systems, smart grids, renewable energy integration, industrial computing, digital twins, scientific computing, telecommunications, or carbon accounting.
