We are currently seeking an Environmental Managing Consultant to join our Iberia team in Madrid or Barcelona, playing a key role in delivering high-impact projects across sectors and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
Project management of complex projects – local and international
Develop and manage Environmental & Social Impact Assessment studies/projects;
Manage relationship with authorities, Clients and Contractors;
Manage environmental and/or social critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable regulation with major emphasis on: IPPC Decree, EIA decrees, Permitting;
Define,
coordinate and implement Environmental monitoring plan;
Identify and develop new project opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals and cost estimates, and maintain client relationships;
Ability and flexibility to work across a range of services and sectors including: oil & gas, power (including renewables) and manufacturing;
Provide compliance assurance of impact assessment studies with applicable local legal and institutional requirements (IFC, EBRD,etc.) and international experience in project finance.
Qualifications & Experience
A master’s degree in environmental engineering (i.e. Ecology) or Environmental Sciences or similar
Extended years of experience as Environmental Consultant in a Consultancy Firm
Previous experience as Project Manager
Proficiency in English and Spanish, written and spoken. Working knowledge of French is highly valued, particularly for new projects in Francophone countries.
