An opportunity for a PWP Stress Engineerhas arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

To perform these activities, our multidisciplinary team is permanently in contact with Flight Physics, Design, and System Integration departments, as well as each program's Chief Engineering office. The jobholder will reinforce our stress analysis area to support complex system implementation in these programs.

Responsibilities

The main tasks and deliverables of the jobholder will be:
- Performstatic, fatigue, and damage tolerance (F&DT;) calculation and analysis within metallic, composite, and hybrid structures at the component level.
- Developstructural stress evaluations and produce relevant strength margins or reserve factors according to validated and applicable Airbus methods and sizing processes.
- Utilizestandard F&DT; tools and techniques to analyze damaged structures and provide stress analyses for the repair or acceptance of components.
- Collaboratewith Flight Physics, Design,



and System Integration departments to ensure structural alignment from pre-design phases to in-service support.
- Supportthe definition, implementation, and validation of the PWP structure design, participating actively in main design reviews and certification processes.

- Education:Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
- Experience:At least 5 years of experience in Aeronautical Engineering Mechanical stress analysis.
- Soft skills:High adaptability to work in a team and networking mode. Capacity to endorse responsibility and leadership.
- Languages:Advanced level in English.
- Technical knowledge:Programming in Python, advanced level of NASTRAN and CATIA.
