Job Description – Sr Network Support Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Sr Network Support Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in Data Center and enterprise network support. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in network troubleshooting, switching, routing, Rack & Stack, Smart Hands, and ITIL-based incident management.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 network support for Data Center and enterprise environments.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, STP, trunking, LACP/EtherChannel and connectivity issues.
Troubleshoot and support switches, routers, OSPF, BGP, and static routing.
Perform Rack & Stack, cabling, patching, labeling, hardware checks, and device installation/removal.
Provide Smart Hands/Remote Hands support for network and Data Center teams.
Monitor network infrastructure and resolve incidents within defined SLA timelines.
Execute approved network changes and support maintenance activities.




Perform RCA for recurring issues and escalate complex problems to engineering teams.
Coordinate with Network, Data Center, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
Maintain incident records, technical documentation, and follow ITIL Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.

Required Skills

5–8 years of experience in Network Operations/Support and Data Center environments.
Strong knowledge of Switching & Routing and L1/L2/L3 troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or equivalent devices.
Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, HSRP/VRRP, LACP.
Experience in Rack & Stack and Smart Hands support.
Good understanding of ITIL, Incident Management, SLA, and Change Management.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred
CCNA/CCNP certification.
ITIL Foundation certification.
Experience in large-scale enterprise/Data Center environments.
