The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC), a comprehensive cancer research centre in Barcelona, seeks a Laboratory Technician for the Endothelial pathobiology and microenvironment group led by Dr. Mariona Graupera. This contract is funded by the Blood Cancer United SCOR grant 7027‑23 (Title: Targeting Unmet Needs For B‑cell Lymphomas).

Responsibilities

- Manage a complex mouse colony
- Wean and genotype mice
- Process tissue, including cutting and staining
- Provide support to specific lab techniques
- Isolate primary cells
- Oversee the organization of the lab
Qualifications

- Degree or technical qualification in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, or a related field
- License to work with mice
- Experience working with mice
- Experience administering substances via various routes (intraperitoneal, intravenous, subcutaneous, intratibial, intrahepatic, oral gavage) will be considered an asset
- Fluency in English will be considered a plus
- Willingness to learn and strong teamwork skills
- Pro‑active, responsible and well‑organised
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with other team members
