About the Position
Based at Mandarin Oriental Ritz,



Madrid, within Deessa Restaurant, the Sommelier is responsible for delivering expert wine and beverage service, advising guests and managing the wine cellar while ensuring excellence in service and full compliance with Mandarin Oriental standards. The position reports to the Assistant Head Sommelier and the Head Sommelier.

As a Sommelier, your key responsibilities will include:

- Delivering an expert and personalized wine and beverage service in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards.
- Advising guests on wine and beverage selections and recommending appropriate pairings to complement the menu.
- Ensuring the smooth operation of service within the assigned section.
- Assisting in the development, maintenance, and promotion of the wine and beverage list.
- Managing the wine cellar alongside the sommelier team, including receiving, inventory control, storage, and preservation of wine
