We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief Officer to join a 55m private Heesen yacht operating a relaxed, owner-focused Mediterranean program.This is a single-season yacht soon heading to Gibraltar .The program is primarily private and low-key, with most of the season involving only two people onboard, who will spend much of their time fishing from their dedicated fishing vessel. A small number of guests may join later in the season for Mediterranean cruising.This role is ideal for a motivated Chief Officer who genuinely enjoys operating the yacht, maneuvering both underway and in port, and being actively involved with the deck team on a daily basis.Key Requirements:Chief Officer must be approved by the yacht’s insurance as Port CaptainIdeally holding a Master 3000 licensedriving time and maneuvering experienceValid ECDIS certification requiredTransas Navi-Sailor certification considered a major advantageExperience with OneOcean navigation updating software (or similar systems)Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independentlyComfortable with quiet periods and downtime onboardMature, professional, and team-oriented personalityAbsolutely non-smoker / non-vaperThe Idóneo Candidate:We are looking for someone with a genuine hands‑on attitude.
