PURPOSE
The Associate Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the business value of Messaging tools and products.
The Associate Product Owner has a strong technical and operational understanding of Messaging products and, as this is primarily an ‘internal facing’ role, they work closely with their Product Managers to gain a clear understanding of the business problems customers need the product to solve, as well as the vision and strategic direction of the overall portfolio.
While working very closely with the Product Mangers, the Associate Product Owner works directly with selected ‘partner’ customers to gain feedback on existing (i.e. delivered), ‘in-flight’ and proposed product features. The APO uses this input plus their own experience to define what capabilities (i.e. value) the product should deliver and the relative priority of delivering these capabilities.
In order to deliver this value, the Associate Product Owner works hand‑in‑glove with their Scrum Team (or Scrum Teams in some cases) on a daily basis to scrub the Product Backlog, c
