The Role
Combine your business development expertise with a passion for international education as the Internship Placement Manager for Spain. In this role, you will take full ownership of growing and managing our host company network across Spain's premier business hubs, primarily focused on Barcelona and Madrid. At its heart, this is a placement and business development role: you will research prospects, drive cold outreach, pitch partnerships, and match ambitious international students with life-changing internship opportunities.
Reporting to Regional Leadership, you will drive the front-end sales pipeline during the sourcing season and transition into a relationship manager to ensure high-quality placement experiences.
Placement Coordinator will support you with administrative tasks and interview scheduling so you can remain focused on high-value business development.
Employer-Facing & Business Development Responsibilities:
- Own and scale Absolute Internship's corporate network across Spain by researching, sourcing, and converting cold prospects into signed partners.
- Execute sustained outbound business development activity, including cold calling and direct outreach campaigns, to consistently expand the network.
- Target and secure overlooked opportunities, including multinational corporations with regional offices in Spain, growing tech scale-ups, and international startup hubs.
- Develop project-based collaborations with companies during the low season to build a diverse pipeline beyond traditional internship models.
- Use the low season to strategically re-engage past host companies and secure early commitments for the upcoming cycle.
