Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team in Rota, Spain, supporting the Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC). Essential Responsibilities
- Provide Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) to evaluate and resolve casualties involving hull, structural, and coating systems
- Conduct on-site (OS)
and distant support (DS) inspections of hulls, tanks, voids, and structural members to assess damage and develop repair recommendations
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled system assessments in support of TSRA, ICMP, INSURV, and other readiness evaluations
- Evaluate corrosion, structural degradation, and coating system performance, and recommend corrective actions
- Support Engineering Technical Branch (ETB) operations, including ship stability calculations and monitoring during casualties, drills, or emergent events
- Participate in ETB drills and training, and respond to casualty events, including weekends and holidays as required
- Provide logistics support, including material identification and repair requirement development
- Deliver on-the-job training (OJT) and technical guidance to ship’s force personnel on inspection and maintenance practices
