General Category Manager – Direct Procurement

As a Global Category Manager – Direct Procurement, you will work closely with teams in a multicultural and cross-functional environment across several countries and interact with a wide variety of stakeholders – from Supply Chain technicians and managers to R&D; colleagues and Plant Managers. Navigating these different perspectives and communication styles is a central element of success in this position, so a strong level of intercultural competence and stakeholder empathy is essential.

The role requires a balanced tactical and strategic mindset.



Packaging is a highly dynamic and operationally driven category, requiring a high degree of proactiveness and responsiveness to day-to-day supply topics. At the same time, the role must maintain a clear strategic direction: driving category strategies, cost optimization initiatives, and long-term sourcing decisions.

Therefore, in this role, you will collaborate with teams across multiple countries and functions - from Supply Chain and R&D; to Plant Management - navigating diverse perspectives and driving alignment.

You will take ownership of a dynamic, operationally critical category, ensure day-to-day supply reliability while shaping its long-term strategic direction.
