Job Description Summary
The Installation Engineering team is responsible for the creation of specialty methods and tools that enable wind turbine installation across all segments. In this integral role, the Systems Integration Leader will be a focal point between Installation Engineering, New Units design teams, field teams, and regional projects teams to optimize the safety, efficiency, and cost of wind turbine installations, and to drive turbine design decisions that facilitate the installation process.
The systems integration leader will drive the mission by providing clear requirements to the New Units teams for DFI (Design for Installation), fostering early risk identification, and partnering with New Units and Installation Engineering design teams to implement risk mitigating solutions and create innovative tooling solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage tooling development projects through the NPI process from concept through industrialization by executing design, prototyping, development, validation, and final documentation of Installation tooling,



processes. Tools may include lift beams, site fixtures, and other specialized tooling, and the associated processes required for installation of wind turbine.
Lead a cross‑functional core team to define requirements, develop concepts, and create technical specifications to guide the mechanical design of tooling and processes.
Engage with and manage suppliers to finalize design and manufacture the proposed technology.
Utilize the design process to generate concepts that optimize the end user experience.
Utilize systems thinking to understand the operations required to complete an installation. During the tool design, incorporate end user feedback and detail the operational steps required to use the tooling. Assess for safety and ergonomic considerations.
