Summary:
Key Responsibilities
Team Management:
- Lead and supervise an accounting team (2-3 people), ensuring effective task distribution and professional development.
Financial Statements and Reporting:
- Prepare group consolidation adjustments.
- Analyze and monitor adjustments for GAAP differences (local GAAP vs. US GAAP).
- Prepare and deliver the monthly Reporting Package to the Group.
- Perform Flux Analysis and provide justifications for main variances.
- Collaborate on external audits.
- Assist in the review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Provide financial reports to senior management and assist in the analysis of financial results and KPIs.
General Group Accounting:
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of group accounting records.
- Oversee and review group accounting operations across.
- Guarantee compliance with local and general accounting regulations across the group
Processes and Improvements:
- Participate in the implementation and enhancement of accounting tools and ERP systems.
- Implement process improvements to optimize time and resources.
- Propose and execute automation and efficiency initiatives within financial processes.
Requirements
Academic Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance (Big 4 experience is a must).
Technical Knowledge:
- Mastery of accounting principles: Advanced knowledge of Spanish GAAP required, US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of group consolidation processes and intercompany eliminations.
- Proven experience in external or internal audit cycles and statutory report
