The Position
Internship as Associate SW Test Engineer
This is a 12-month (one-year) full-time internship opportunity designed to provide deep professional immersion in Sant Cugat Spain.
Purpose of the Role

In the internship as an Associate SW Test Engineer, you will be at the heart of our interdisciplinary CHU & CB Integration & Testing team.
You won't just be testing code; you will be ensuring that the next generation of diagnostic instruments—integrating hardware, software, and reagents—is reliable and safe for the patients who depend on them.
This isn't a solo journey. You will join a vibrant, high-performing international community, collaborating across our state-of-the-art hubs in St. Cugat (Spain) and Rotkreuz (Switzerland). Together, we bridge the gap between product definition and software development to deliver life-changing medical devices.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
As you launch your career with us, you will take ownership of exciting technical challenges. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Creation, maintenance and review of SW test cases in all lifecycle phases (from early feasibility to product care) considering the respective customer workflows
- Execution and documentation of test cases including defect reporting
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Ensuring adherence to relevant processes, guidelines and working instructions
