ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers.
Responsibilities:As the Mechanical Staff Engineer you are responsible for developing our next generation satellite structures, deployable mechanisms and related hardware. You are a professional team player who will communicate and collaborate effortlessly with our other engineering teams to achieve common goals. Responsibilities include:
- Manufacturing Collaboration: Working directly with manufacturers to optimize designs for manufacturability
- Problem-Solving: Overcome significant design challenges and taking projects from start to finish successfully
- Design complex mechanical systems, including deployable mechanisms
- Balance quick and efficient design with a process-oriented approach
- Excellent Communication: Interfaces with directors, team leads, project managers, and stakeholders; adept at technical conflict resolution and guiding technical teams
- Process and Cost Awareness: Knowledgeable about the impact of design choices on manufact
