PandaDoc is hiring its first Design Engineer to sit at the intersection of design and engineering in the Embedded Agreements track. You'll own the design of two strategic areas – our API and our integrations – the surfaces that connect PandaDoc to the broader ecosystem of tools our customers already work in.
The Embedded Agreements track is where PandaDoc extends beyond the product itself. Our API is where developers build on top of PandaDoc, embed document workflows into their own products, and connect to AI‑native environments – including our ChatGPT app, Claude connector, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration. Our integrations area is where users connect PandaDoc to the tools they already use, like Salesforce and HubSpot, to automate document workflows across their stack.
And the ground is shifting. The technical barrier to working with programmatic surfaces like our API is falling fast:
MCP and AI surfaces like Claude and ChatGPT are collapsing the effort it takes to connect to an API or an MCP server. That means the audience for these surfaces is no longer just developers – it's a larger and growing group whose expectations are changing as quickly as the way developers themselves now build. We're looking for someone who can partner closely with product to help define our strategy here, stay close to how the market is moving, and let that shape how we design these surfaces for an expanding audience.
Both areas are technically complex and require someone who can hold the developer experience and the end‑user experience in mind at the same time. This is a role for someone who has the eye of a designer, understands and can ship code, and is genuinely excited about building for developers and an increasingly broad set of power users. You will own a strategic area end to end. We expect
