Position Summary
The Technical Presales Manager BESS is responsible for providing technical pre‑sales support for energy storage system solutions across the region. The role supports Sales teams by delivering technical expertise, solution design, bid support, and customer‑facing presentations for utility‑scale and C&I; BESS projects.
In addition, the role contributes to product management activities by supporting product certifications, monitoring market and technology developments, and ensuring technical compatibility of energy storage solutions within the European market environment.

Reports to the Head of Technical Europe
Major Responsibilities
Provide technical pre‑sales support for BESS products, including customer communication, technical clarification, and solution presentations in collaboration with Sales
Design and configure BESS solutions, including product selection, system sizing, technical preparation, yield simulations, and cost‑related inputs for quotations
Participate in tender and bidding processes; prepare and review technical bid documents
Support technical contract negotiations and drafting of technical specifications and technical agreements for BESS projects
Provide daily technical support to customers and internal Sales teams on BESS product and system‑related topics
Support technical evaluations of customer requirements, grid standards, and project feasibility
Act as a technical interface between Sales, HQ technical teams, and customers to ensure accurate and timely technical communication
Deliver internal and external technical training sessions for BESS products and solutions, including system simulations and technical presentations
Represent the company in technical meetings, customer discussions, and project‑related communications as required
Perform additional technical tasks or project support as assigned by leadership
Product Management
Support product certification activities in relevant European markets,
including coordination of technical documentation and compliance requirements
Monitor customer requirements, market developments, and technology trends related to energy storage systems and provide structured feedback to product management and leadership
Collaborate with component manufacturers and internal teams to ensure compatibility of ESS systems with external components and system interfaces
Maintain awareness of competitor products, product roadmaps, and technical developments to support product positioning and technical decision‑making
Represent the company in technical product presentations, webinars, trade shows, and industry events as required
Support the continuous improvement of technical documentation, solution templates, and product‑related processes
Performance Indicators
Bid win support rate / technical contribution to successful tenders
Turnaround time for technical proposals and configurations
Number and quality of technical trainings delivered
Reduction in technical clarification cycles or bid revisions
Technical accuracy and compliance of system configurations and documentation
Stakeholder feedback from Sales and customers
Customer satisfaction with technical support and solution quality
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Physics, Power Systems, or a related technical field
Minimum 5 years of experience in the PV and/or energy storage industry
Proven experience in BESS technical support, system design, or pre‑sales engineering
Strong understanding of energy storage systems, grid requirements, and customer technical expectations
Experience supporting utility-scale or commercial energy storage projects is strongly preferred
Fluency in English and Spanish (C1: professional working proficiency) is required
Strong technical expertise in energy storage systems and solution design
Ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including delivery of technical trainings and customer presentations
Structured, detail‑oriented, and solution‑focused working style
Strong cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment
Good understanding of system integration and technical compatibility requirements
Travel Requirement
Regular travel across the region as required
Occasional travel within Europe
Availability for customer site visits, technical trainings, and industry events
