We are looking for an Assembly Engineer with solid experience in assembly technology to ensure the successful industrialization of assembly/subassemblies at suppliers.
The role requires strong leadership, autonomy, and cross‑functional coordination between Airbus and supplier industrial teams. This position is based in Sevilla (Tablada) within Airbus Defence and Space, and may involve occasional travel to international suppliers (e.g. India, South Korea, UAE) for the development of industrial offset projects.
Tasks & accountabilities

- Lead industrialization of new assemblies/subassemblies and modifications, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and schedule (OTOCOQ).
- Act as the technical and industrial focal point for supplier manufacturing topics, being the interface between internal Airbus functions (Procurement, Design, Quality, ME) and the supplier.
- Ensure configuration management and technical consistency of subcontracted components.
- Assess supplier industrial capabilities, including process validation, capacity, and robustness of manufacturing flows.
- Evaluate costing, workload estimations, and provide input for tendering process and make/buy decisions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives at suppliers to enhance productivity, cost performance and the reduction of non‑conformities in the supply chain.
- Coordinate and support MRB (Material Review Board) activities, including the objective of obtaining and maintaining RP3 certification.
- Ensure knowledge capitalization and lessons learned for assembly technologies within Airbus D&S.;
- Promote ethical and compliant practices in all supplier interactions, in line with the Airbus Code of Conduct.

- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent).
