The European Union's bank (EIB) is seeking to recruit for its Legal Directorate (JU) – EU Operations Department (OPS‑EU) – Central Europe Division (CE) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Banking and Finance Lawyer – Polish Market Focus.
This is a full‑time position at grade 5 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

Purpose
Join our team of legal experts at the EIB's Central Europe Division (CE). As a legal counsel,
you will play a pivotal role in shaping and negotiating lending operations of the EIB across eight jurisdictions. If you’re passionate about impactful work and thrive in a collaborative environment, you will be at the forefront of legal excellence, supporting lending operations that drive economic growth and cohesion in the region. You will collaborate with a team of 12 highly skilled lawyers and work closely with EIB's clients, ranging from member states, local municipalities, banks and corporates of all sizes across all eligible sectors. You will offer strategic guidance on all types of lending operations, including secured and non‑secured transactions, structured finance and asset finance. Your legal acumen will guide projects, mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
CE is at the heart of lending operations and financial products in the following eight countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia.
