IENAI SPACE is an early-stage startup located in Madrid, developing an end-to-end ecosystem of in-space mobility products, including propulsion systems and engineering SaaS. We are a highly innovative company in the “New Space” sector; the team is made up of a dynamic and multidisciplinary group of engineers, PhDs and developers, looking to revolutionize space mobility for the adoption of propulsion products in the smallest of satellites. We recently kickstarted our commercial phase with our first product: 360™, a Mission and Space Mobility analysis SaaS.

How will you contribute to IENAI SPACE?
As the Head of Embedded Systems and Software,
you will own the architectural vision and lifecycle execution for all software powering our ATHENA propulsion system, spanning mission-critical flight firmware and bare-metal to embedded software, laboratory automation, and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) software. You will be in charge of the architecture design, implementation, and continuous improvement of highly reliable, fault-tolerant embedded solutions.
This role requires an engineering leader who can prioritize tasks effectively, work with agility and take full ownership of firmware and software development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
End-to-End embedded lifecycle ownership: lead the design, development, testing and maintenance of embedded software for our ATHENA propulsion system, from bare-metal to real-time application and EGSE software.
Team leadership and scaling: lead, mentor and grow a small team of embedded software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and agility.
