At VHIR, we support our researchers throughout the entire research funding lifecycle. Our Pre-Award Unit identifies funding opportunities and assists in the development of high-quality, competitive grant proposals. Once funding is secured, our Post-Award Unit provides comprehensive support in the management of awarded projects and grants, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and the requirements of funding bodies.

we are currently seeking 2 enthusiastic and motivated professionals to join the Post-Award Unit as Post-Award Grants Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful management of cutting-edge research projects within a leading biomedical research institution.
Main responsibilities and duties:
The Post-Award Grants Technician will support the Post-Award Research Officers in the effective financial and administrative management of competitive research funding awarded to VHIR researchers, ensuring compliance with internal policies and funders’ regulations.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Preparation of financial reports, economic justifications, audit documentation, timesheet records, monitoring of deliverables, amendments to grant agreements in national and international projects, project close-out activities, among others.
- Regular monitoring of project expenditure and income to identify and communicate any deviations.
- Maintenance and updating of the grant
