About The Job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid,
within the Food & Beverage Department, the Sommelier is responsible for delivering an exceptional wine and beverage service, advising guests, managing the wine cellar and ensuring full compliance with Mandarin Oriental quality and service standards.
The role reports to the Assistant Head Sommelier and the Head Sommelier.
As a Sommelier, Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

- Providing professional and personalised wine and beverage service.
- Advising guests on wine and beverage selection, offering appropriate food pairings.
- Ensuring flawless service execution at assigned tables or sections.
- Contributing to the creation, update and promotion of the wine and beverage list.
- Supporting wine cellar operations: receiving deliveries, stock control, storage and preservation.
- Assisting with ordering, inventory management and sales forecasting of wines and beverages.
