We’re hiring an Engineering Manager, Backend to join the Quick Commerce Global Services team, powering Delivery Hero - based in Glovo, Barcelona.
Your Mission
In this role, you’ll be part of a central team within Delivery Hero’s General Services unit, shaping solutions that serve our entire global ecosystem, and your work will drive impact across Delivery Hero’s regional brands worldwide. You’ll be working with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions that enhance customer experiences and operational excellence on a global scale. It’s a unique opportunity to combine Glovo’s vibrant, fast-paced culture with the reach and complexity of one of the world’s largest local delivery platforms.
Responsibilities

- Working on our next-generation platform to not only provide groceries for our hungry customers but also other daily urgent needs like drinks, fruits, snacks but also batteries.
- Leading a team to design,
develop, test, and deploy scalable services.
- Collaborating closely with product managers, engineering leaders, and leadership across Q-Commerce.
- Hiring and developing engineers, with a deep understanding of agile software development methodologies.
- Managing a cross-functional team with backend, frontend and mobile profiles.
- You are not afraid to build reliable, scalable systems with high concurrency and are eager to learn and implement new languages and technologies. Your decisions will make an impact since your ideas and efforts do matter.

Qualifications

- 2 years of cross-functional team management experience with backend, frontend, and test engineers.
- You have a T profile with in-depth experience in at least one back
