Purpose of the role
- Provide finance support & challenge to the operating functions making up IAG Transform.
- Be the first point of financial control for these teams, including spend vs budget, approving purchase orders, approving the recruitment.
- Report on YTD spend versus budget and work with these Directors to identify mitigating actions for any forecast overspends.
- Play a key role in the financial planning process, including forecasting, budgeting and the strategic five-year plan.
- Build good working relationships with these teams and understand both their short-term goals and longer-term objectives – act as a right business partner across the complete breadth of their activities, assessing the financial impact of decisions being taken and challenging where appropriate.
- Evaluate business cases for extended scope/new activities proposed for IAG Transform provide financial scrutiny, challenge and recommendations.
- Ensure that the model for recharging Transform costs to the OpCos is kept up-to-date and operate a no-surprises culture with the OpCo Finance Teams.
- Support the more comprehensive Transform Finance Transformation project.
