The Barcelona Spine Institute (BSI) invites applications for its International Fellowship in Spine Surgery, designed for fully trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeons (Traumatology) or Neurosurgeons seeking advanced subspecialty training in a high-volume, technology-driven, patient-centered environment.
Located in Barcelona, Spain, BSI combines cutting-edge surgical innovation with a strong academic and research focus — all within one of Europe's most dynamic and liveable cities.
What You Will Experience
COMPREHENSIVE CLINICAL EXPOSURE

- Degenerative spinal disorders
- Adult and pediatric deformity
- Revision and complex spine surgery
ADVANCED SURGICAL TRAINING

- Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS)
- Image-guided, navigation-assisted and robotic surgery (MAZOR X)
- Complex instrumentation and deformity correction
- Multidisciplinary case planning
Fellows will progressively assume surgical responsibility based on performance and skill development.
ACADEMIC & RESEARCH INTEGRATION

- Participation in multidisciplinary spine conferences
- Involvement in ongoing clinical research projects
- Opportunity to publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Presentation of cases and research at international meetings

Adecuado Candidate Profile

- Board-certified (or equivalent in Spain) in Orthopaedic Surgery & Traumatology or Neurosurgery.
- Demonstrated commitment to spine surgery.
- Prior experience in basic spinal procedures.
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Academic interest and motivation for high-level clinical practice.
