For adesso Spain, we are looking for a skilledBackend Developer / DBA to join our international team and contribute to the development of a mission-critical data platform that processes millions of transactions and queries every day.

This position involves working in an international environment, collaborating closely with architects, senior engineers, and stakeholders, with occasional travel to Germany.

Required Skills:

- Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL/AWS Aurora.
- Experience optimizing database performance and writing complex SQL queries.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and Kafka.
- Experience working with cloud and DevOps technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of distributed systems,



scalability, and high-availability environments.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus.

Responsabilities:

- Optimize database performance through SQL tuning and database improvements.
- Design and implement backend solutions integrating Java applications and database systems.
- Maintain and upgrade Java and Spring Boot applications.
- Contribute to the evolution of a cloud-native platform running on AWS.
