Job Responsibilities
- Planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
- Operating basic farm machinery and tools
- Sorting, packing, and loading agricultural produce
- Feeding and caring for livestock (if applicable)
- Cleaning and maintaining farm areas
- Following health and safety regulations
Job Requirements
- No formal education required (secondary school is an advantage)
- Previous farm or agricultural experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Basic English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: CAD $15.50 — $20.00 per hour (depending on experience and province regulations)
- Work Hours: 30–40 hours per week + overtime pay (as per labour law)
- Overtime Pay:
1.5x regular hourly rate after standard hours
- Paid Vacation: Minimum 2 weeks per year (or 4% vacation pay)
- Public Holiday Pay: As per provincial labour standards
