We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support our team in Barcelona. We’re seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about achieving top-tier results and open to exploring new approaches. Please note this is a 6-month fixed-term contract.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly closing activities, such as intercompany reconciliations, cash reconciliations, fixed assets depreciation, AP accruals, prepaid amortization, rebates accruals, between other tasks.Preparation of the reporting package to the Group for respective entities, including BS and P&L; analytical reviewPrepare and post monthly manual journal entries. Ensure journals and balance sheet reconciliations has appropriate supporting documentation.Handling of T&E; process (claims processing)Support no the treasury forecast preparationFollow up on open items post monthend.Support the Manager on other MEC and post close tasks as neededEnsure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achievedEnsure compliance with internal controls requirements and company policies and procedures.Support on external auditsSupport on continuous process improvements and KPIs/SLAs preparationSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseLess than 1 year experience in alike position / +6 month preferable (on Accounting and Reporting – GL)Excellent IT skills (in particular Excel and data management)Honest, accountable and self-driven - comfortable working under time pressure and willingness to, where necessary, adopt a ‘sleeves rolled-up’ approachGood communication skills, presence and challenging stylePartner orientated with track record of demonstrating ability to innovateExcellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.Experience with SAGE a plusWe are an equal opportunities employer and as such, will make any reasonable adjustments to accommodate the needs of all candidates.
