As an Engineering Manager for Payments, you will lead a team of engineers in building scalable, high-performance systems and mentor others while aligning technical execution with business goals.

About the Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will:

- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of innovative, scalable, and maintainable solutions that align with business objectives
- Drive technical excellence by promoting best practices, resolving complex challenges, and fostering a collaborative environment
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, aligning technical roadmaps with business goals while communicating risks and opportunities effectively
- Focus on team growth, ensuring engineers have the tools, guidance, and support to excel in their roles

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

- Guide the team in designing and developing scalable, secure, and reliable payment systems
- Oversee system architecture, balancing innovation with maintainability and performance
- Ensure smooth execution of complex, cross-functional projects
- Champion best practices, testing, and quality assurance in all deliverables

Team Management

- Mentor, coach, and grow engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation
- Provide clear feedback, career guidance, and motivation to help team members excel
- Build cohesion across frontend and backend squads, ensuring alignment on goals and delivery

Strategic & Operational Excellence

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps aligned with business goals




- Drive continuous improvement in workflows, observability, and incident management
- Balance priorities between new feature development, system maintenance, and bug fixing

Requirements

Technical Skills

- Strong expertise in React, Tailwind, Angular, C#, .NET, SQL, MongoDB, Kafka
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure or similar) is highly valued
- Familiarity with financial/booking systems
- Knowledge of microservices, event-driven systems, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Solid grounding in CI/CD, test automation, and Agile practices
